Cool news on keeping going with no wine etc. I'll take on your share if you like? Just to help out of course!
How about a punishment system? For each of crisps you have, say = £10 OP? A share bag is £20!
You could post the bags of crisps to me to avoid temptation? But those and all the wine are going to play havoc with me getting my hunky builders six pack!!!Hi Nattypants,
Good luck with the dry April :-)
I'm going to try for another month of not drinking too.
I thought it would be much harder but as the months go on I find I'm not missing it, and feeling much healthier too.
Matt.I'm two months into a three month dry period, and I'd love a beer or a glass of wine, I've noticed no health benefits and no financial benefit either tbh, in fact it's made me more miserable than usual:beer::rotfl:
Matt and QB, I had a telephone conversation yesterday with a male colleague who has also abstained from alcohol for two months......and is hating it;)

Lovely sunny day outside....although prob not quite flip flop weather it really does make a difference:T
So far I am managing to stick to my tight budget, although fairly tempted to buy garden seeds, plants etc.
Today's plans are;
Lady gym
Meet friend for coffee and cake thus negating any loss of lard
Quick vacuum and dust
Hang out washing
Load washing
Hang out washing - oops no room so TD on
Load washing
TD washing
Take washing in
Blah, blah, blah
Fill my brain by reading clever books, I neither digest nor understand
Read my coursework again and realise I've missed the entire point of my module requirements
*Remove carp (old wood, door, shed felt, slabs) from bottom of garden to front drive and arrange uplift *encourage my son to do this
I am looking forward to the coffee/cake part:D

Morning Natty, how did project garden clearance go?
Is your brain full of clever stuff after your studying? Mr T is thinking about taking up another course - this time for pleasure rather than work. Makes me tempted to have a go
How many hours without crisps now?
Right, need to hurry up and get ready for work

Good morning:)
Re garden clearance, unfortunately more industrial sacks required and I will price up a small skip hire today.....
I have managed to stay off crisps since my earlier 'blow out' - they're packets of lard, they're packets of lard, they're packets of lard.....albeit tasty lard:p
Tilly - does MrT have a particular course in mind? I am enjoying the course so far - although it's been all the nice bits so far and am currently reading about reflective action planning - which is right up my street.
On the boohoo side, still three weeks until pay day, although I am sticking to my budget remarkably well...this was £350 all in including petrol.....in fact, I have reduced to £300 just to see where I sit with this amount. The reason I am on payday countdown is my psychological need to finally have my tax code rectified, therefore understand exactly where I am in money.
Enjoy your day everyone XFebruary13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Hello diary my old friend,
I am skulking back in as my MFWness has gone awry....tax code finally sorted, and now I know exactly where I am with money and is bollocking!!!!!!!! however not beyond repair with a little hard work, some extra focus, and nothing a few cosmic orders to the universe won't sort out. So all in all, pretty good really:D
I really should be doing my studying this evening, however have missed everyone too much - so here I am.
Work has been fairly AAARRRRGHHHH as have had the Inspectorate in spreading the joy (as they do), but today was a very positive day, and I think I only made a couple of faux pas (compared to my usual lots).
Hope that everyone's doing well and will slowly catch up with you all soon.
