Morning all - hope you're all well. I'm being hauled in to see the GP after last Friday's bloodtest so goodness knows what they've found :)

My stepdaughter may be coming to live with us for 6 months. She works locally in the technical side of drama, and a couple of weeks ago she leafleted all the West End theatres with her CV; one of them has contacted her to arrange a phone interview, so fingers crossed. Tech drama pays well but isn't normally regular work, just a few days here and there and very heavy work physically when you're striking sets, so fingers crossed.

Morning everyone. Bright but quite chilly . Have put some washing out , hoping it will dry.

Eye is still yucky and blooming sore, have some drops for it.

Really tired this morning, dunno why I slept really well last night, will perhaps have a snooze later on.

Got ds1 books all sorted yesterday , so they are now boxed up and under my bed out of the way.

Jacket pots tonight, might do sausages and beans with them.

Not to much to do , house is tidy, washing up to date

Have started a box for ds3 for uni next year. he has a 4 person dinner set and cutlery in there at the mo. Not much but its a start;)

Have lovely days peeps:) Hugs for everyone
Paul Walker , in my dreams;)

Slept a bit fitfully, but okay. Been over the hairdresser, so feel cleaner now:rotfl:

HH- I know it's easy to hate, but all that vitriol isn't affecting him at all, it only eats you up. I used to be the same, but now know it's not worth it.:o
    Love and (((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))) anyway.

DD is home looking tanned and well. SIL has an interview tomorrow with Dunhelm Mill. They turned him down for the Assistant Managers Job, but have called him back for a Team Leaders job, so that's good.

DGD has started nursery this morning:eek: Seems only yesterday she was being born!

I am healing well. Black eye has nearly gone now:rotfl:Arm not too sore either.
    Have a good day all.

    Good morning all,

    ((((Hugs Hester)))) what disappointing news.

Bitsy, i hope all goes well with your OH's interview today. I remember how deflated my daughter got when she was out of work for a time.

Ive not got a lot planned for my day. I need to do my usual garden duties then i need to clean the cooker. I'll take the pampered pooches out for a walk later if i'm feeling brave (neither of them walk very well on the lead for me its always a matter of one step forward and two back or being pulled in two directions). I'll have another play with my new phone too. Ive set up Skype on my phone and spent most of last night playing with the video call function. My husband rang me earlier in the evening on it and my daughter rang me not long after. I havent had the time to check the settings.

    Have a great day all.

I slept quite well...the anaesthetic is in your body for 24 hours, so I should be "clean" in an hour :rotfl:
Molly I think you are right about pain meds having something to do with problems with the stomach. I am just so angry that it took all of the doctors and consultants that I see, to take me seriously about the heartburn, as a result, things are worse than they could have been if treatment had started sooner

I have another appointment with the chest consultant next Wednesday, and I have to take the results to him (actually it was his locum who picked the problems up)
What a lovely way to spend my 25th wedding anniversary animated-smileys-rolleyes-10.gif

Housework can wait today DH has told me to have a lazy day.........I am not fighting him on that :rotfl:

  • Good Morning all, well I had an eventful day yesterday My DGS Danny bless him, finally went on his Driving Day that I got for him for his 21st birthday last November. He went to Silverstone and whizzed around with his pal.He phoned last night and I think he thinks his Granny is almost godlike for giving him this present, he was so chuffed about his day and was absolutely buzzing bless him.I was really pleased as he had been a bit down after splitting up with his long-time girlfriend Chloe.
Any way yesterday morning I toddled off to Knitting club and had a very nice morning ,then I went to DDs to let the dogs out as usual ,and hung some washing out for her and put another was on ,and prepped her veg for their dinner last night.normal busy day for me.On leaving her house I double locked the door turned round to walk up the path and did a spectacular dive as I caught my foot on Mikey's bike that was on the path.I ended up sliding down the wall and with my rear flattening my DDs box of winter pansies that she had just planted over the week-end.Total loss of skin from my elblow, and an extremely sore rear end and scraped knee, dignity went right out of the window I'm afraid.I sat and cussed up hill and down dale for about five minutes calling that bike everthing I could lay my tongue to :):).Finally disintangled myself to find that I had a nasty arm that was bleeding rather a bit and feeling more than a bit wobbly tottered off home to patch myself up.
By last night I was a gorgeous shade of black and blue and I am typing this with one hand as the other arm is all strapped up.I was lucky in a way it was my 'good' arm and not the one with lymphodema or I would be in the hospital on a drip, but hey ho I suppose its a blessing that my 'bad' arm is ok. I have found bruises this morning that I didn't realise at the tim,e so am sitting on a nice soft cushion to errr ...ease the aches a bit .What a daft old biddy I am, you'd think I'd notice a blooming great bike.
Mikey was mortified bless him, and so upset with himself.Hopefully I won't do it again, and I'll keep a better eye out.The trouble is once I lose my balance I go down like a sack of spuds :):) DD brought me some carnations home bless her and was quite worried I daren't let the other DD know as she will only carry on about me doing too much, but I like to be useful.
I have found some Miracle Grow in the cupboard so I'm giving it to DD in the hope she can revive her pansies a bit.:):)
Well the sun is shining here in Kent and its a beautiful autumn day and I'm just about to go and watch Downton on catch -up. t.v.
have a good day everyone and <<hugs>> to those who are down or going through a rough patch
    Cheers chums
