How the hell do the long term unepmployed manage when they do get a job? £100 wont get far in somewhere like London when travel 1-4 zones on the tube is £160 a month and no one likes a new employee who asks for a sub within days of joining the company. How do you live for a month with no £ as JSA is paid in arrears.
I guess because JSA is indeed paid in arrears and is therefore being received for a short while when employed in the new job.
Regarding Zones 1-4 travel - Can it be about £135/month if you use Oyster for just a journey to work and back for 5 days a week? (That's one journey at peak rate and one off-peak.)0
