Hi Sharon - I would just like to say that I agree totally with your reply, and your original 'rant'.
If ANYONE has the slightest doubts about MBNA tactics I suggest that they enter MBNA in the search facility (top of page) and sit back and read for the next few hours.
MBNA are totally unprofessional in their dealings with their clients. :mad: :mad:

egg did the same to me, I was just over 500 below the limit, they reduced the limit by 500 , the interest goes on in the middle of the month and suddenly I'm over limit and get hit with a charge.

Not happy but stuck at present, speaking to payplan tomorrow, but that's in another thread.

I think dropping your limit to less than you owe is just tantamount to thieving.

My OH had a debt with MBNA, they were total g*ts to cut a long story short. They passed the debt on to someone else who uses Wescot as a recovery agency. Wescot are totally reasonable and lovely people to deal with by comparison and everything is all sorted now in one week where it took MBNA months to do nothing

Mbna yak spit puk I am sick of these idiots writing to me and phoning me every day and sending me emails.When i had a nervous breakdown in August 2006 i could not speak to anyone about anything I was a mess. brought on by events beyond my control.my husband tried to deal with mbna on my behalf. it was a non starter so we put a letter together saying my husband was authorised to discuss my details, also telling them the situation and not to keep phoning because it was distressing and pointless unless they were prepared to speak with my husband. we also enclose an income and expenditure sheet which showed we couldnt even afford the mortgage but said that we had set up a S/0 for a token payment of £1 per month for 6 months until we got some idea of benefits etc. Well they reckon they never recieved it so over the months they were accusing us of ignoring them and saying we werent making any effort to sort things out. I could have screamed we have sent them 7 letters so far and they have ingnored every one so what do i do now ????????????? they have finally spoke to my husband the other day and just gave him loads of sarcasm and down right rude saying stuff like borrow it from your parents or friends and why are you offering a pound a month when you say you have no spare money. They are not helpful they are just evil minded inconsiderate pregnant fish... ANy ideas about what i should do next because i was thinking about blowing them all up Joking joking of course i am not a violent person..............lolx

Send a letter signed for. Also put in the letter that you will be recording their phone calls.

Little Miss...the thing that comes first in your life is your health and I hope you are feeling better...or are coping...these guys are not helping you to move on tho eh?

Have you sought advice regarding the harrassment??

I hope others might come along to offer some advice....
