I've done a fair bit of research on the same topic since getting my micro. There are other 'adapters' (commonly known as flash cards) that you can get and which have more support - especially for playing music, video etc.

This site gives you info on the different flash cards available. These are all above board, its not illegal to own one, so long as you use it to back up games/music/movies that you have already bought, or anything that isn't under copyright.

My first preference was to get the 'efa linker 2', but unfortunately it's only available abroad (and I've been stung by customs too many times to bother). Instead I've gone for the 'EZ-flash 4' which I've bought for £25 inc p+p from here (you will also need an miniSD card - I already have one, but I think I saw some going for £7 for a gig?). As far as I know you can get it to do most things, but it doesn't look straightforward. Mine should be arriving in the next couple of days so I can let people know if its worth considering?

update: Arrived today, but it looks like it takes standard SD cards rather than mini, which goes against the products description on the website. hmmm....

I did it yesterday :j 1st i put the game boy micro acess pack in on line basket ,then there was a bit on the right side of page saying multi buy offer buy this micro with acces pack and get it half price , so ordered one :j
then tried it again but didnt work so deleted basket and tried again and it worked :T :T

Looks like they have just pulled the GBA Micro and access pack from the website

I did reserve the Micro and access pack last night for £25.99, but didn't notice the half price offer.
Might try instore to see if they would honour it otherwise I won't bother buying it
