There are a lot of items in Asda atm that are "pinked" for breast cancer awareness, these items don't seem to show up on the receipt, so avoid those :)

I'm sure the less picky realised what I meant, I'm pretty sure I've not come across as the type of person that would said avoid a charity

    Sigh

    Yep I'll sigh too,

Evening all, just to say had my APG capped tonight instore. CS's were not having any of it.

Wonder what other tweaks there may be next week.

What exactly do you mean - did you try to use a bigger voucher and they would only take £15 off ? If so, they were WAY out of order - all existing higher value vouchers have to be honoured at the full face value. This is just typical of how staff don't know their a*** from their elbow so far as all this is concerned.

  • Dear help you- sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place.....in pain but can't take proper painkillers. Any alternative therapies considered for pain relief?
unfortunately no, i was born with it, and my last pregnancy, 2 years age, has developed it further. im waiting for an opperation, to deconstruct then reconstruct using stents, however any cancer treatments come first, for which i completely understand. its just a waiting game, i have good days and bad weekends! so it seems, i just get fed up and dont have many people to talk to :(

I don't know why anyone is stressing out over this - Asda CANNOT and WILL NOT refuse higher value vouchers that have already been generated. Several of us (me included ) have phoned HQ today and been told that all higher value vouchers will be honoured. They haven't really got much choice - any more than Tesco had when they altered their system.

There is no point banging on asking the same question on here as to what will happen - if people don't believe what some of us have been told, then ring up HQ and ask them ! Undoubtedly some staff will try it on and refuse them - but HQ will sort them out for the price of a free phone call. Relax.

Midwinter has already said they had theirs refused and the staff weren't having any of it, and as I have posted, not everyone relishes having a battle with staff. Is head office manned 24/7? Even if it is, some people will get seriously stressed over this possibility of being trouted and won't want the confrontation, regardless of any posts on here telling them to stand their ground and relax.
If I had a pound for every pound I'd lost, I'd be confused

hi lots of apg talk tonight! i didnt get to sadas today as i have been in alot of pain. i dont think the oh really understands what it feels like sometimes :( i have a hydronphrosis, which is a ballooning of the kidney. lots of pain, feel constantly cold and tired. it makes everything else work twice as hard. cant take much pain relief, paracetomol mainly, which doesnt touch it. short term ibuprofen as the kidney doesnt flush this, and codein gives me the most horrendus headeache. i think oh gets abit bored with me moaning about the pain, so hope no one minds me writing on here. :(

Sorry to hear this, in my thoughts and prayers, hope it eases a little for you soon.

:eek::eek: can they do that really? How much was it for please Midwinter? I only have 2 for £7 an £8 but still good info to know x

    It was £20.30
Sorry what do you mean, capped tonight. If your voucher is for over £15, then your entitled to use it.

    CWxx

Capped, in that, APG was £20.30, and they would only allow £15 of it. And as it's a manual override for over £9.99, they would only enter £15

Yes from tonight, yes before tomorrow morning. SA, and the SA's supervisor and customer services on the phone this evening.

Not a big loss, but, nothing on webiste as yet in T&C's to show a capped amount. Nothing instore on public view, to say the APG's were capped.

Not going to push it, with CS, as I'll continue to do APG, and will push it to £15 or as near as damn it, on each voucher!
