• Lets make one thing clear. Henlans is NOT a regular poster on THIS thread and has no idea what makes this thread what it is and takes no part in the usual antics and discussions on here.

That should tell you all you need to know about him.

All I have to say on the subject.

Why do you seem to hate anyone who is not a regular here? some have stumbled on it most have come because of this glitch, i have been here before when this thread was mainly about tesco the clip strip club, when the fajitas kits where glitching and the dairy milk for what ever reason was scanning at 39p, i have asked questions, i have tried to help and tried to pitch in on the banter that goes, and to be honest apart from a few people here (some of you guys are truly wonderful) i never felt very welcome, i have popped back over every now and again to see what is going on but have never stuck around long due to some of the rudeness, this is not aimed all at you but you are one of the few people i have seen making some horrible remarks that are out right rude to and about newer posters.

I saw someone mention the word bully the other day and to be honest i am begging to think you are coming close to it with your sarcastic remarks at anyone who does not fit into your click of "regulars" before the people here became regulars they where newbies.

And yes i know i will get called a troll or whatever and you will laugh at me for what i say, i have seen it done several times over the past few days but i know what i see whether it is mean that way or not it is how it reads and probably to not just me. :(

    Hi

New to this one and probably a bit late, but better late than never! But how does the receipts compare to specific shops, like when it says your shop compared to W'rs or sainsbobs!!! and when i make my list out, how do you know which one it will compare with. Scared to do it cos I cant get straight in my head, I know peeps say to keep reading, but thats all I have done!! PLUS you cant arf natter and I cant find how far back it all started. While its a bit quiet can you give me a few pointers, or do I just stick to the sada guarentee blurb. I just loose it when you say a certain item will make things work! ...........have I rambled?

It compares against all the shops, but people are just posting up the one where it is glitching against. If you make your list up carefully, you will have a fair idea which shop will come out cheapest. Actually, I can't quite articulate what I'm trying to say, so sorry if that made it all as clear as mud :rotfl:

Go back to page one - there is a link half way down to Fudge cakes list which explains it all quite clearly, also do a search for Henlans he has a very comprehensive list, just go back through all his old posts until you find it.

Basically you need trigger items to make things cheap and then buy in multiples of 3 if its a 3 for 2 at another supermarket (including trigger item) and multiples of 2 if its bogof. Scan through the pages until you find receipts people have posted which you can read and work out. I know its a lot to read but this is the 4th one & I've read most of them!!

Also open a word document and copy bits into that, receipts, lists, good explanations.

    Good luck.

Had a self-enforced but worthwhile day off today. Only got one store nearby and don't want to get a reputation there. Got about £40 of vouchers but think ill give half away to my parents and just spend the largest one (about £18) on a "normal" shop. Happy to have benefited as much as I have, no need to go overboard -plus it quickly became an obsession lol!

Anyone got any tips what to use to remove my (glitch) hair dye stain from lid of toilet seat? Goodness knows how it got there! Think someone mentioned a cit product earlier but can't find the post. Already tried barkeepers friend, Mr muscle and flash with bleach to no avail. Sometimes a bargain seems less of a bargain - don't fancy spending another twenty quid on a new toilet seat!!!

When you find out...let me know please!! I've got some on my "posh" soap dispenser :(

I managed to get some on the bath panel a few months ago which I couldn't get off and it gradually faded away.
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

Actually you miss the point entirely.

This isn't your average glitch thread, its a small community of people who help and support each other as need be. Nobody stops newbies joining that community but henlans has made no effort to do so and actually when many (not just me) have challenged his attitudes he's basically told them to naff off.

You might like that, most on here do not.

I don't recognise your name so perhaps you didn't stick around long enough to fit in, I don't know. We never turn away people who join in here and never have done. I'm not sure it's fair of you to blame us because you didn't feel like you fitted in either. We all get the sense of belonging in places and not all of us feel that same sense in the same places, its what makes us all different.

I'm no bully, in fact during most of the !!!!!ing on here lately (particularly on the last thread or two) you'll find I didn't bother posting at all and left them to it. For this thread however a lot of the regular posters decided to try and make this thread what it was before. That wasn't MY doing, it wasn't MY idea....it was a collective thing. Hardly a bad thing that people want to fight to save something they believe in and value.

The best thing to do if you feel someone is trolling is to put them on ignore and report them to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com. Do not respond to them on the forum - as that often just makes things worse. HTH

Hiya Redfox hun - great advice. Do not feed the trolls guys, it just keeps them around longer ;)

That's the way to do it hun :j :j Most important things to remember is not to 'mix your shops up' and remember whether you need things in 3's or 2's
