Know that feeling so well, my DS was sent to a boarding school when he was only 8, totally traumatic for me not for him. I insisted that he would only board during the week, I was always the first one down there to pick him up on a Friday and last one to leave on a Sunday night, then often I would pop in during the week although it was a 70 mile round trip just to catch up with him!

Just keep thinking of all the positives, look how well he has done and it won't be long before you'll be tripping over his dirty washing and cooking his favourite meals again.:)

Totally agree they would never get time to do it with all the excitement of everything. We made sure DD2 got a cupboard in the kitchen too and took her shopping but not sure if that will be the same for your DS at Cambridge.

Fantastic news there will be someone he know, will make a big difference in those first few weeks. I don't know if you remember me saying but DD2 had a friend who was a year ahead of her and it helped with the homesickness when they had a chat.

Must admit I'm liking the W's glitch as I can buy enough of glitchy items without having to fill in with other stuff!

Someone queried the chickens, I looked today, but instead of 2 for £7, they were stickered at 3 for £10, so didn't try in case glitch was over!
