Toyota Financial Services PPI Loan

Hi there,
First post from me, long time lurker. Would like some advice and/or opinion on what happens next or whether due process is being followed. I'm very late to the PPI thing because I have never wanted it because I'm fortunate that I know my family would bail me out, but intrigued by all these success stories I wondered whether I have been inadvertently charged it (I would usually strike through the PPI sections of agreements) so I made some enquiries and lo and behold for a loan I took out with Toyota Financial Service, it was charged! So I contacted them and this is the email I got back:
Thank you for your email regarding the above Agreement.
I note your complaint relates to Payment Protector misselling and have
established that the allegations you have made are specific to
conversations, which took place at the point of sale.
At this stage I would inform you our involvement in relation to any policy
is limited to its funding. We neither sell the policy, nor administer it.
However, I would like to make the following points.
The Payment Protector product purchased is entirely optional and was
explained to you at the time of purchase by an FSA Compliant member of RRG
(********).
You will also have received a Certificate of Insurance from the Insurance
Company. The accompanying letter confirmed the level of cover you chose and
a brief outline of the main exclusions. It also advised you should read the
enclosed full policy terms and if you were unhappy with the cover you could
cancel it within 30 days of receipt of the document.
The Demands and Needs Statement you signed states that a summary of the
main benefits, exclusions and limitations of the policy was explained to
you and that you had 30 days from commencement of the policy to cancel it
should you so wish.
When you opt to take the benefits of Payment Protector, Toyota Financial
Services provide you with a loan for the total premium, which is sent to
the Insurance Company on your behalf. You then repay this loan within your
monthly payments.
Toyota Financial Services take their obligations in respect of compliance
very seriously and
I cannot agree Toyota Financial Services are in a position to refund the
premiums of your policy.
In view of the circumstances I am required to forward your Complaint and
this response to the seller of the policy, which is RRG (******),
for them to respond to the points you have raised. They will contact you
directly in due course.
I hope you will find this to be a suitable response to your email.
Kind regards
I don't like the tone of the response, is this an expected reply?
Many thanks

Just bumping this up in case anyone else has had dealings with Toyota. I think the tone is somewhat aggressive but I have not had dealings with PPI claims before so maybe I am just new to this.
Would I be within my rights to ask for a copy of this agreement because I think there could be a chance I have struck through the PPI sections because I never accepted them as standard? Is it to be expected that they will try to make things up to get out of processing a claim?

You need to complain to the seller in mis-selling complaints. In this case, it's RRG (******).0
