Six months in is still relatively soon, especially if you are his first partner post-divorce. He is right to put his children first and to use his own judgement about when or whether it's appropriate for them to meet you. I think the question you need to ask is why is it so important to you to meet them? It's still early days for you in terms of your own relationship split and are you looking for something from him that he isn't prepared to give at this point? Questions like this are usually a symptom of a different problem rather than a problem in themselves.
