Iphone 5 on 3
Hi,
I'm already a customer on three with 12 months still to run on a 3GS contract i have in my name for my son and i'm considering taking out an Iphone 5 on a second contract for myself with them as there 32G deal seams to be the best of most deals i can see.
The issue i'm having is that when i call them up, they tell me there are no loyalty discounts on offer at the moment for existing customers and i should check back with them after the phone is launched.
So should i bite the bullet and take the deal on offer now or wait and hope there deals dont go up in price cancelling out any discount i MIGHT eventually get.

iphone plans are quite static, I doubt you will miss out.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

the plans might be static but only paying £89 up front might not be.
how much are crystal balls lol0 -
They have absolutely no need to offer incentives to existing customers, as they even boast of their base of iPhone users and pricing. As the best deals are invariably for new connections, 3UK will not be much different.
Add to this only 3 and EE will be able to use/access 4G services on the iPhne 5, there is even less likelihood existing users will miss out. If you've made your mind to get one, that's the place to go - as te longer you wait, the chances of being able to get stock diminish.0 -
What 3 plan are you thinking of ?SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0

I have an iPhone 4s with Three on the One Plan, thats costing me £45 a month now and i have 16 months left on my contract so im thinking of just paying the £529 for the sim free phone and reselling the 4s to cover some of the cost.
Three are really good for internet (tethering) so Three for me would be the best one to go for. I dont know how long the stock will last tho on Friday.0 -

Pity you didn't do that in the 1st place, you should get around £300 for the 4s but that is only 6 or 7 months worht of your high contract. A guy at work has pre ordered 2 and hopes to sell one of the 5's at a profit to offset his purchase, he is offering his 4s for £300 and has a buyer already (not me).0 -

Is that not only for this year, next year 4G will open up to all networks.
Given the fact you cant get 4G outside major cities i dought 4G will make a diffrence to many.
Would be nice if they would make 3G available to everyone (all areas) before investing in 4G.0 -
I'm looking to get the one plan for £39 as its only £2 dearer than the ultimate internet at £37.
And with the initial purchase price of £89 i think my mind is made up.
As i said in the original post, my worry is that as i'm an existing customer, i might have got a nice little loyalty discount if i waited. But the risk is they might raise the £89 fee for the phone and any savings i could make in monthly fees will be wiped out.0 -

No. The reason why it will work is 4G is being provided on 1800MHz, the legacy frequencies allocated to Orange/Mercury One-2-One. The iPhone locks onto those and will provide 4G without issue.
The other UK networks will be offering 4G on 2.1GHz, and AIUI, the iPhone 5 will NOT support 4G on this band. (3G will remain as it does now).0 -

I'd be asking for a mms/pic text &/or a unlimited landlines bolt on as a existing customer for the new contract if no loyalty offers are avail.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies...
