Gumtree complaints

Hi everyone, i am sorry if this is in the wrong forum? but i got lost in all the Bazillions of threads and the site needs a little tidying up, Anyways i am trying to find a way of complaining to Gumtree.com, it seems conveniently their so called "Live Chat" is down haha yeah right! dont think its ever been live has it? ive emailed them about a customer service issue i think is just wrong! they havent got back to me & yet when i email them from another one of my email addresses regarding placing an advert they get back? loool Monkeys & clowns comes to mind! anyways i was looking for a site that i can search free for the directors details to email them as its clear at low level there is little or no concern about customer satisfaction or complaints? ive looked for about 20mins which is usually enough time for me to find the details i want about any company BUT it seems Gumtree.com are hidden behind a smoke screen..does anyone know where i can get the directors details from where its free to search pls??
many thanks

what exactly is there to complain about?
you list, buyer collects and pays cash
    job done
or you see an ad,go and pay cash,go home
  • Gumtree is owned by eBay, so good luck with that complaint. You'll need it!

I'm not able to post ads on gumtree, when I emailed and asked I was told I had breached the terms and conditions of the site??

When I enquired further I was told that I was no longer able to post ads for sale and that they were no longer going to reply to me in the future??

What the hell is that about??!

I had exactly the same problem with Gumtree deleting my advert within seconds of listing. I did get a next day answer from Gumtree saying they had computer problems. I just used a new GMail address and it accepted the advert
  • I had the same thing. I posted an advert for a flat, it has been live for several days and then suddenly it was deleted without any notification.
Chasing them up they say that I've breached their terms and conditions, but all I've done is pay to bump up the ad a few times! I formally requested a review, and a day later they say that they've conducted the review and concluded that it had breached their terms and conditions, but won't say which one!
Are there any additional steps that can be taken here? It doesn't seem right that I effectively pay for an ad and they can choose to delete it without giving a justification...
  • Hi - I having exactly the same issue and am trying to sort it out via chat and email - will let you know who it goes. Very frustrating!
