Does anyone own this phone,when ever it is turned on but not used for a while or i lock the keypad i have to enter a security code to unlock it again,this happens every time and i can't turn it off,do you know how please.

    To avoid unintentional activation of touch controls, the automatic keylock cannot be disabled.
    To disable the numeric security code see p.15 of the manual:
    To set how your phone uses the access codes and security settings, select settings > security.

    Thanks but i read that manual and i cannot disable the pin,everytime i swipe the screen across it asks for a pin.

    Surely you set the PIN if it's your phone?

    The pin is auto set,i am getting sick of putting the code in to unlock it everytime i want to use it.

    When i click on security and pin to try and turn it off it says UPIN not supported.

    What's 'UPIN'?

    I think PIN is a 4-digit code that protects the sim-card and has to be entered only once when you switch the phone on. If you enter it incorrectly 3 times the sim gets locked and you need to contact your provider for PUK (?) to unlock it.

    My understanding is that the phone is protected by a 5-digit security code (12345 default one).
