In terms of a refund - you can quite rightly reject this cooker under SOGA, as it does not meet the Sold As Described clause. This means they must give you a full refund (including any delivery charges) AND pay to recover the goods. Anything beyond that is goodwill.
Thanks!!:beer:0 -
Of course people make mistakes but I expected them to remove it much quicker than this so that other people don't experience the same hassle. I can't just understand and forgive their stupid error when I have a young child to feed.
10% discount doesn't help when they refused to offer a refund. Will probably ring tomorrow to speak to someone more helpful and hopefully get a better response as refusing a refund is ridiculous. Thanks for the help.
Has your child not eaten since you moved into the house?
The mistake will get rectified. I doubt the cs rep you spoke to will have a ability to change the website themselves and it may be passed to a different dept to fix, possibly since you only reported it yesterday it may be monday before the correct people to adjust the site are in work0 -

How were you feeding your young child prior to purchasing the cooker?
You should definitely look to suing for the company for emotional distress. Goodness knows of how this incident could affect you in the future.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
OP, can you please explain to us how the fact that you are a single mother has any significance to this issue?0

And the child, don't forget the children.0 -
Please dont be fobbed off with 10% off another cooker ... they are offering the 10% off on their web site so unless you can use the two offers together its a rubbish offer from them http://fo-currys-ng.origin.cdn.e-merchant.com/grafx/gb/uk/promotions/pdf/tvcodeswk20.pdf0

Yes we all make mistakes but.......
I think it is also very wrong of them to continue to advertise this cooker with the wrong size now that they know about it.
I spend ages usually when choosing things like this and the size is of paramount importance to me, so I would be annoyed for this reason if nothing else.
OP take your complaint higher up.0 -
I doubt the web designers work weekends to be able to rectify the website instantly, it's not like they've deliberately left the advert up for weeks or months after being informed of the mistake.
While I fully understand that it's incredibly annoying, it's just a minor inconvenience at the end of the day. No-one is going to starve for lack of a cooker or suffer anything else other than "inconvenience".A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
You are entitled to a full refund including any delivery charge.
Pricerunner have the correct dimensions so presumably they must have been right on the currys website at some point as I think it is an "own label" product.

Correct on the Currys ie site as well

However, if you have been using the cooker doesn't that show that it has been accepted? Has it been used?0
