I recently came across the broadband usage meter in the Thinkbroadband site - look in Tools.
It's a nice little device and keeps tags on usage both instantaneously and in total. Handy if you need data to argue with your ISP.

This will only add up the data usage on one PC, so if you have two or more connected, it will be more. Unless you run it on all PC's, add up the totalls and don't have any phones etc connected.0
