DH, DD and DS have gone car booting, I have put the beef on for a nice long slow roasting and there is enough to make a small stew up for DH and DS for tomorrow.

I didn't sleep again last night either Bitsy :(
Not much planned for today DD brought her washing home for me to do, so that is in the machine, but it is a bit gloomy here, but I will put it on the line anyway.

Enjoy your spa day flutterby....Oh the joys of being single ;)

cat_smith I hope that you have heard from DH and that he is safe x

elona I hope DD will be home soon x

    Morning :hello:

Lack of sleep here too, mr tru was snoring his head off last night

I have a few more tomatoes to freeze. There's more in the greenhouse, I want them all to ripen today please :D I want to store some wood and bags of sand in the greenhouses over the winter and the tom plants are in the way, lol.

Weird tomatoes (eyes drawn on by mr tru).

First strawberry of the year! It ripened two days ago :D It's posing next to a 2p so you can see it's size. Very tasty it was :D

No news yet, and it seems to be getting worse out there. Oz has worked out I'm stressing - he's currently on the sofa.

Morning all - managed to recycle 12 huge hardback books to the CS yesterday, but it's hard with Mum staying as she can only walk really slowly but insists on coming along, and walking so slowly is difficult with my own mobility problems. So no more CS until Tuesday, I think. They don't want my old videos and there are no recycling bins within reach, so they're just going in the dustbin outside. Lunch is going to be the lamb's liver we didn't manage to cook yesterday, with mash, carrots and onion gravy. Still working our way through Friday's lemon drizzle cake. Normally I'd be in agony given the rate I've been eating that and homemade bread, but it doesn't seem to be affecting me - maybe there's something else rather than the wheat in shop-bought stuff that sets me off.

My medical exemption card came through yesterday so no more paying for NHS prescriptions. Very impressed at the speed as the application was only sent last Monday. We spent a leisurely evening watching The Green Mile. Today is mainly about putting away laundry; Mum's kindly done all the washing-up.

Morning all, hope all is well.

had a disturbed nights sleep due to an alarm at the scvhool going off at 3AM, so had to get up to deal with that, could not get back to sleep.

Had an interesting week, the new chickens have taken up quite some time, one of them hell bent on freedom, so had to modify their run. they seem to like the place as we are now getting 2-3 eggs daily, including a 74g Mega-Egg yesterday.

will be cutting the front and back gardens today, and if time allows cut a couple of the hedges too. them for a break at lunchtime i will wander of the the local, as the cycling tour of GB is passing about 1o'clock.

that's about it, enjoy the sunny weather while it lasts.

    Take care all

    Sy..

Morning all:wave: Grey sky this am but dry with a breeze so washing on the line as usual.
Had a bit of a laying this morn wasn't woken by the howling dog that has given me an early morning call all week.;)

Roast chicken , roasties, stuffing etc for dinner today.

Ds2 went back to uni yesterday. He is an old hand at it now. He put all his stuff into storage at the end of last term as he was moving out of halls and into a house with 5 friends. So he decided to get the train back to swansea. He phoned me to say he had got back safely and moved all his stuff in. He also got a big shop from Tesco delivered so that should keep him going for a while.

Woofer is limping a little on his back leg that was operated on earlier this year, Have given him his Metacam and am going to try and get him to rest it today. If no better in the morning will be taking him to the vets just to be on the safe side.

Have been volunteered by ds3 to make cakes for the McMillian coffee morning the 6th formers hold at school. I have hundreds of cake recipes but have no idea which ones to make. Any ideas greatly recieved.

Bathroom and kitchen have been cleaned and dd is mopping the hall as we speak.

Hoping for a nice quiet Sunday , hope yours are the same:):)
