Virgin Media Availibility

Hey hey.
I'm moving house at the end of May and my new address isn't in the online database for available houses for Virgin Media.
My postcode is there, but it mentions 2 houses with house names but not the place I'm going to be living
Is there no hope do you think?

There might be hope, try telephoning them and find out if they are going to be going to that house0

hope you will have more luck as I ... we moved 2 months ago and whole street is on their database but not our house(part of terraced)... the problem we might have is that it used to be nursery in this building and landlady changed this into 2 flats and shops and their computer is saying NO,we arent in cevered area even neighbours next door are…
I give up after many phoncalls and emails as they don’t seems to be willing even check if they can extend cable from next door..
good luck anyway, and remember if you cannot have connection in new place to give them 30days notice to terminate service in old placeThis will be mine in 2009 member's club no. 359 :happyloveCash £1000+, Holiday, Handbag

If they can't transfer to my new place and I'm in a current 12 month contract still what do I do?

Like Netimka I have the same issue. Cable access point is outside my backdoor. I watched the guys lay the cable a few years ago. One of my neighbours got NTL (as was) installed.
Not available I am told by the man on the phone.
Tried again now that they are Virgin Media "nope, cable services are not available in your area"
"But I can touch the cable"
"Cable has not been installed in your area"
Brick wall and hitting head off it!
Mr Murdoch continues to get my money thenWe all evolve - get on with it0 -

How annoying it is:mad: … you would image that virgin is after keeping existing customers/getting new one…
I read somewhere on the web that they going to have coverage almost everywhere in 2008… would add not where we are living now… ahh… the worst is you know you can have their service but they don’t bother to update/fix their database …This will be mine in 2009 member's club no. 359 :happyloveCash £1000+, Holiday, Handbag

Hi there,
Following the Biscit/v21/fast4 fiasco, research showed if I went to BB the best speed would be only just over 1mb.
I decided to go for the cable alternative, opting for the 3 for £30 Virgin bundle, no problem, the cable is in the footpath, 300mm from my front garden, on second attempt installation agreed for Sat 7th April.
After a very long working day (13hrs), I arrived home to find an answerphone message saying that Virgin have to carry out engineering/construction works, also because this will be traffic sensitive (I live near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac!!!), they have to give the local council 4 weeks notice, my projected install is now 8th May.
Wouldn't it be better to say installation date will be set after an inspection?
After all the date was set over a week ago, and then to cancel at 36 hrs notice after I had rearranged my weekend.
Thank you, I feel better now for that little rant, just as well I couldn't get through on the phone.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

This will be their non-cable service and broadband, calls, mobile, and free tv are already available in non-cable areas. You still need a BT line at this stage.
