What should i do now

I bought a item on ebay on the 5th of september and the seller sent me a message the next morning to say they have posted my item and that shipping generally takes around a week, but pls understand that it's highly depending on the efficiency of local post service, if there is any delay pls contact us.
So as i haven't received my item by yesterday i contacted the seller to tell them that i haven't received my item and could they tell me what courier they used. I then get a reply saying.

All items are shipped from our agency in Portsmouth,UK.There's no tracking NO provided.
It usually takes about one week to arrive.Sometimes may be delayed as the weekend or holiday.It's highly depended on the efficiency of the shipping carrier.If your item doesn't arrive on time, please contact us immediately for further assistance.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,we apologize again for any inconvenience.

You ask what should you do?...

Personally I would reply to the seller stating that the item was posted on 6th September and that as yet you have not received it even though you have allowed the allocated delivery time.

If the seller is not willing to put the matter right then you should open an item not received case in ebay and they will then help you get this resolved.

Has it actually exceeded the estimated delivery time on the listing? If not then at least wait until it has. If it has then I think you're right to be a bit itchy now.

I don't think there's much point opening a case just yet as it's obviously not going to arrive between you last emailing them and tomorrow. Maybe at least wait until end of the day on Monday before you escalate it.

Location is portsmouth and the estimated delivery is 7-9 working days, but if you go on the sellers my world their location is hong kong. This is what they say in the shipping terms.
We ship all items via our shipping agency in UK, items are firstly imported by our agency in UK and then posted via Royal Mail. In most cases, delivery takes around 7-12 business days, it's highly depended on the efficiency of the shipping carrier. If your item doesn't arrive on time, please contact us immediately for further assistance. There is no local pickup service.

Ask them again; politely say nothing has arrived.

Delivery estimates mean you may not yet be able to open a case, but I normally ask after a week whether something has been posted, it seems a gentler way to ask the inevitable question. If they have suggested shipping normally takes a week, then waiting a bit longer is sensible, but they are already outside their specified time.

I would wait until the end of next week before filing any disputes, however, until you have spoken again with the shipper.

Doesnt matter what story or set up they say,your item is coming from HK.
7-12 business days could be taken as Monday to Friday
So buying from the 5th,gives you the 25th as 12 business days

the seller isn't being very clear on where the item is actually located are they? is it Hong Kong or Portsmouth ? if they listed it as the item being available / located in Portsmouth but it would appear the items location is actually in Hong Kong that's abit of a difference and FALSE advertising, if you ask me anyway.

I hope its not coming from hong kong because the last time i ordered from their it took four weeks. I have contacted the seller again and this is what they have said.

I think i will give them to wednesday then open a ebay dispute.

i have had items delivered from china/hong kong 4 times over the past few years....they also stated roughly the same as what was in your listing. after waiting for 14 days i opened INR cases and was refunded for each one. If the seller is not going to be honest about where the item is coming from then they have to face the consequences.

Btw i eventually received all 4 items but well after a month in each case and the items were only 99p or slightly more each.
