No Co-op. What now for imminent BRs?

What if you opened a cash minder account pre-BR, didn't put it on your SOA, then the OR wouldn't have sight of it to tell them of your BR, and all will be ok? Surely they only know a customer has gone BR if they are told?

Most people on this board want to be accepted as ordinary people and not be denied basic services. Encouraging people to act in a criminal manner does not help the image of the law abiding majority of bankruptsHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
Please note that any views i put forth are not those of my former employer The Insolvency Service and do not constitute professional advice, you should always seek professional advice before entering insolvency proceedings.0 -

Apologies to any that shared Debtinfo's perception of my post. I was just naively asking if that was ok to do - obviously it isn't so I wouldn't dream of it! human nature makes such questions come into one's head so it's best to ask so I don't end up doing something wrong. I fully intend to cooperate with the OR office and be honest.0 -
This is a bit confusing to me, I have not applied for BR yet so can I get a CashMinder account with the CO OP?0
-
At this time untill someone hears from the co op then the answer is yes you can, but this may change if the co op say that anybody who is an undischarged bankrupt from the 17th sept even if they held the account before this date will ahve the account closed. It will be in the terms and how you read the press release.
confusion will reign for some time I think

The Co-op has definitely said anyone who has a cashminder account before 17th Sept can continue to have it. It's unclear whether people will be able to open them in the future, then go BR and keep it."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." You can bet a tenner that Barclays will not want to be the only bank providing these accounts and will pull the plug before long.0
