Orange mobile rip off!
Hi all
I'm new to this forum although I always refer to it for advice. However, I really do need help now.
Last May I decided to take out a new mobile phone contract. Initially I anted 02 as I have used the before and they are reliable BUT I applied online and never heard anything so I assumed that I had been declined for some reason. I then decided to apply for an Orange one as they had a good iPhone deal.
The next day whilst at work I had a card through from the postman asking me to pick up a parcel. When I got to the PO there were 2 parcels each with an iPhone in, an 02 and an Orange. I sent the Orange one back the next day from workaday thought that was that..... How silly was I?? I month later I got a bill from Orange for approx £11. I rung their customer services (hard work as they don't speak any English unless its on the chart in front of them). They advised me that it was a mistake and would be refunded and my account closed. I have has to do this 3 times since and spoke to a VERY rude 'manager' who told me that I had to pay this money as I didn'nt send the phone back in time. I argued with him and ended up
Putting the phone down as he didn't understand me. I also asked him to send me proof and a copy of my contract but he hasn't!
This morning I have received a threatening letter TELLING me to pay £12.30 now or face solicitors or bailiffs!!!
How can this be and can anyone help me? I have no phone or Orange phone number!
I need to pay it by 19th September.
HELP!
Emma

When you sent the Orange phone back, did you get a returns number and a prepaid return pack, or did you just send it back with none of that?0
