  • Just ordered one for our 3 year old son for Christmas.

Innotab 2 + Cars 2 game - £82 but doubled up clubcard vouchers on their exchange so ended up costing £2 cash and £40 of vouchers.

    Hi all

Hope you don't mind me jumping in with a question but my little boy is getting interested in this type of thing (is just 5) and we have been looking innotabs and the leapfrog tabs too. Question is which would peeps reccomend? Is the Vtech one much better? Also he likes to play on daddy's iPad so would this kind of thing be too basic ?

Thank you for any help don't want to buy the wrong one as it is going to be a big chunk of the Xmas money to spend wrongly

    Ta CM

Our 2 year old keeps playing with our phones plus tablets, we bought him a childpad from ToysRUs much better and more advance than VTECH things
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

I've bought one in the hope to wean my 18 month old off my iPad. He's a wizz on the iPad and I'm honestly worried that even tho it states 3+ he may find it boring!

    I agree with you here!!
i think kiddies are alot smarter than they make on....from experience if your little one has had an iPad/iphone etc before this then i think the innotab will be a disappointment...but then again kids do surprise you at the best of times ;-) good luck x

i agree the toys r us child pads and ipads are a lot better than the vtech things...you end up going out and getting one at a later date anyway as the vtech is not that brillaint a few of my friends were sorry they never spent a little more and got the child pads

I was looking at selling our Vtech (got it VERY cheap) and buying a childpad but the reviews are awful.

the problem is the kiddies if they havent played with an ipad childpad before they will like the innotab but mine have played with ipad and i then tested the innotab out and feel my daughter of 3 will be diappointed at how fast it runs/colours/apps etc so got her he pad but apparently the meep i think its called in smyths toys is pretty good 2 of my friends opted for these instead of an ipad as they couldnt justify the price
