i bought the innotab 1 last year for my sons bday jus before christmas, what a waste of money, i'd honestly buy your kids something else

Any reasons for why you think it's a waste? Considering getting one for my youngest, would appreciate your thoughts.

all the games and apps are not cheap to add on, even if they were it's not that simple enough to add them on, hardly anything is preloaded on the innotab itself so you definitely have to purchase a few things to make it more interesting, I bought the adapter to plug otherwise the batteries drain fairly quick so not very good to take in the car or away from a socket :-/ hth, this is just my experience of it other might differ

Ah right, thanks. So the system itself isn't a waste then, more the cost involved?
  • My daughter has one and loves it (she's 4). We've just ordered a Blue one for my DS (3) as he's always trying to play his sisters.

Games etc are not cheap unless you pick them up on offer (sometimes £9.99 instead of £20).

Downloads are roughly £3 I think so I would say be prepared to spend some more IF you want to purchase additional games.

My DD plays the cartridge games and the 3 free downloads you get for registering. I also add on music, youtube videos (supersimplesongs :)) and some disney films ive ripped (I do own them btw).

Would agree you need an adaptor though.... £6.99 on Amazon or £7.99 from VTech.

My parents are on holiday in Canada at the mo, are the games cheaper out there and will they play on our uk systems? If anyone knows I'd be grateful.
A happy wife, and mum to 2 lovely little boys :j
  • Any cheap deals on games anywhere please?

    Thankyou
    I love a Bargain
  • I ordered an innotab2 for my daughter for xmas and it arrived yesterday. I spent 45 minutes setting it up, registering me online and downloading the 2 freebies games, when 'id finished the batteries had died:(. So i will be purchasing the adapter for sure.

I'm confused, where is the cheapest place to buy the pink innotab 2? It's £85 at very and they offer £30 off for new customers spending £60+ bringing it down to £55. Is this the cheapest or is there somewhere else I can get mothercare to pricematch it?
