OS Daily Saturday 15th September

Morning all,

Bright and sunny here, :j I have a load on the line and one in the wm and another to follow, should all dry well today.

We have a man that can coming today to do the wallpaper :T, OH needs to put the top coat on the door and frame, and hang my curtain pole, then I need to see what curtains go best and then we are done.:T Its taken ages, but looks so much nicer, well worth the effort.

DD was not supposed to be working this weekend but they text her yesterday and asked her to go in, its all extra money, which will be handy.

Dinner tonight will be hm pizza and coleslaw in front of Dr Who, and my extra doggie guest will be going home tonight or tomorrow morning.

Haven't heard from DH. Assume he's rather busy after attack on Bastion. Grrr. He was supposed to be safe in there.

cat_smith - thinking of you and your DH. Very stressful time all round, but as others have said, you must be proud of what he's doing.
After an incredibly busy week with church inspection (plus two daughter churches to get round!) am having a quiet day today. Only free Saturday this month, so it's come at the right time! DH has taken dogs out and I've got washing on and have cleaned up kitchen and mopped the floor. Really ought to go and change bedding too - tomorrow after morning device we're straight off to see previous curate installed in her new parish - probably out from 8.45am until after 7pm! Upside - no need to worry about food - packed lunch for coach I think!
need to get to SM and shop for ourselves and next-door neighbour later this morning, so need to consult food plan for next week!
DS feeling lonely and a bit vulnerable, was coming up this w/e but has decided to wait until Monday.
Need to really get DGD's school cardigan finished this w/e - but that's quite a restful occupation!
Anyway, my thoughts and best wishes to all having a hard time at the moment. Hope everyone has a good day today.

Well no os happening here... I've been ill with what Dr said was a uti/kidney infection so have been feeling wiped out. Have been having a lot of back pain and cramps which have been put down to infection. But been having tightenings coupled with sickness all night so I'm thinking maybe early labour. When midwife examined me I was 1cm dilated so things do appear to be moving, just very slowly. This happened the other day and then stopped... Don't think baby knows whether he is coming or going. I certainly dont!

Well that's all the news I have. If things do happen and I don't get chance to post, I'm sure someone from my fb will update

I'm missed a few days posting here. Iv been busy setting up my business, Some of you may have been wondering why I had stopped talking about Job centres and not having a job and this is why. I have been doing little bits every day over the last few weeks. Doing some research and finding out all the little bits of info I need and stuff like that. It took Just over three weeks for me to set up a bank account! With Lloyds tsb, Now I could understand this somewhat if I need to prove who I was with a bank that I have never banked with. But Iv been with lloyds for 14 years ! I have now had my cards and cheque book and paying In book but my welcome pack still has not come! It just too an age for the other stuff to come.
Anyway I do have all I need now to run the account. But I have tried to set up internet banking. This was on Wednesday this week. All went ok. But I'm waiting for the access code to come In the post so I can use it. Going on how long everything else took I should have it in time for Christmas

The twins have had two very tiring day at school. Thursday was there first full day. Came home tired but not too bad. Yesterday They had PE and all the kids as they came out looked very worn out! I did feel sorry for them all. My two came out very tired and both were in a right foul mood. They did seem happier after my wife gave them some sweets that her Nan had given to her to given them. They then Went to Girls Brigade last night. Big mistake! They came home from there is a right foul mood. Crying.shouting,stomping arm flapping. Would not settle In bed. everything was wrong! They were very over tired. Still once they had carmed down. they were out like a light Within 10 mins.
We might have to keep them from Girls brigade for a couple of weeks until they are use to doing full days.

The twins have a birthday party to go to this afternoon, A little girl who went to there pre school. Today will probable be the last time that the girls see most of there pre school friends. They have all gone to schools all over the area. One of them Is in twin ones class at her new school. And a couple of others do live close and One of the little boys dose go to the same church as them and we are friends with his Mum and Dad so they will still see some of them.

Dinner tonight is corned beef hash.

I hope that your DH can phone you soon. He might not be allowed to use the phone at the moment, As "It" has only just happened. Also when he can use or has the time to use the phones he will as you know have to wait for his turn as everyone there will be wonting to make a call home to let family and friends know that they are ok.
Must be horrible for you, just waiting, wonting to speak to him. I;m sure he will phone you as soon as he is able.

Made tomato and lentil soup this morning, mopped the floors, hoovered round, lit the fire (it's freezing), 2 loads of washing out on the line and DD taken to the station.

Going for a long hot soak in a minute and then going into Glasgow on the train (don't usually do public transport!) to meet DD for a meal later when she finishes work.

Looking forward to not having work tonight, first Saturday off since May. Costc0 tomorrow for salmon and chicken and then to L!dl which is next door for the rest of the shopping. May try for a trip to !kea too if I can be bothered/have time.

Good morning all,

Workmen are back this morning laying down the path that they dug up to lay the cables and the dogs are on high alert (again).

Washer is on but although its a nice drying day i think this lot will be tumble dried as i am having problems with arthritis and carrying washing up and down the steps to the rotary line wont do me any good. I was only thinking the other day how hadnt felt any pain for a week or two and it looks like i spoke too soon.

Moorhen i havent heard from my son for a couple of weeks. I know he is having problems with his ex.... its clear from his Facebook posts of that. I am just hoping that the fact that his hospital results came back clear has not given him the green light to drink himself into oblivion. Thanks for asking though.:)

My daughter and her partner have been asked to foster a two day old baby girl. She is so tiny and sweet. She doesnt have a name as such but she has been given the name 'Pearl' (which will probably be changed when she is adopted).

Will be grocery shopping a little later. Hopefully i will be able to keep costs down as ive got a fair bit left in my food cupboards.

Good Morning all,a beautiful autumn day here in Kent sun shining and not too hot but as the little bear would say 'Just right':):)
I have three parsnips and some apples that I will turn into my favourite soup today.I also have some leeks that need chopping and freezing.Apart from that I think it may be a nice afternoon to try my luck at blackberrying up at the woods with my DGS.
Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing. 101 days to Christmas so my eldest DGS told me,I have started getting a few small bit and putting them away already.No shopping for me today i have enough in to get me through to at least the middle of next week.

Morning All
Washing done and on the line, DH is fixing a couple of the bi-fold doors on DS's bedroom (We put a bi-fold on because he has the smallest room in the house) it gives him a little bit more floor space.
I have made 4 loaves of bread and 12 rolls,which are cooling at the moment. So we will have rolls for lunch and I will freeze the rest, so that should last the week.

I must also prepare a meal for Monday so all they have to do is reheat it. I have to have a gastroscopy on Monday and I know that because I have asthma and copd they will push me to have the spray, so I will make it quite clear that I want sedation not the spray - No sedation-No do simples, especially after what poor beththebee went through and my FIL and another friend who both said that it is awful :eek: I really am not looking forward to it
