Help with UKPC Parking tickets

I received a parking ticket from UKPC for a very short time since I had to get my visiting parking permit from my parents' flat. I have replied to them now before I found all the information here (See below). Was I right to reply? What should I do now?

Firstly my parents have a visiting permit, attached. I went to the flat to collect it while my car was issued a ticket. But it was within a very short time. I was alone. My parents are in 70s and not well, at that time there is no other way to get the parking permit quickly. I have all the evidence to prove the timewise if no space limited here. A local resident (lady) can prove, too. I really appreciate it if you could consider my special circumstance and grateful attitude.

You wasted your time replying but no harm done. Like all the other posters on this board, you have a fake PCN. Ignore it.

When dealing with "tickets" from private parking companies (PPCs) our advice is to ignore them as long as you are the registered keeper, who will be the one getting the threatograms. A company or hire/lease car would be different.

Tick off the threatening letters here.

Watchdog clip with expert Solicitor's opinion here.

    Barrister's opinion here.

    HTH
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Sorry, I thought it was clear and the links tell you about this scam. We also get posts every week from people who think they have 'already appealed' (no you haven't, there is no appeal). Like I said, no harm done.

Please ignore them, you have nothing more than a fake parking ticket. UKPC do not do court, all they do is send out threats to do so and increase costs, they will make a lot of outlandish claims, they will get your details from the dvla if you haven't given them already.

So to echo what coupon has said above - IGNORE
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • I filled in the "Online appeal" form with all my contact infoamtion.

My responses to them could indicate that I am a driver. See my first post. or below

I don't mean to be rude but how many times do you need to be told to IGNORE anything you get from them ?

Honestly they WILL go away. Now go and have a nice early morning beer and chill.

They were going to get your contact details anyway, by way of the DVLA.

But, as has already been said, they will send you a few letters (about 5 I think) (all of which Coupon-Mad has sent you a link to) from themselves and Debt Recovery Plus or Zenith that will try and scare you into paying. They will say things like "FINAL REMINDER....we will get a CCJ... this will affect your credit rating...we will take legal action....etc." All of which is just an empty threat.

but anyway, in summary, IGNORE THEM.
  • thanks all for replying and assurance.

I just want to know what they can do if they can prove that you are driver.

Proving who was the driver is one of the smallest hurdle they have to cross, so there really is no need to worry about it, they can't do anything.

The biggest hurdle is the fact they don't own the land, as proven by a couple of cases from May this year:

    VCS vs Ibbotson
    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?...=post&id=16231

VCS vs HMRC (Upper Tier Tax Tribunal - equivalent to High Court)
    http://www.tribunals.gov.uk/financea...ces_v_hmrc.pdf

well worth a read if you have a spare few minutes and a cup of tea.

Pretty much nothing. Just send more threats.
