Hiya, go with the photos!!! I printed some onto A4 and had it laminated so it wouldnt spoil and was easy to be packed into a bergen, alternatively buy an ipod and upload some pictures onto it before sending it out. Whatever you get he will love xx

Thanxs :) Many have suggested the iPod, but I'm hesitant just incase it gets lost in the post & i wouldn't be impressed if he wrecked it whilst on tour!!!!

sex cheques used to get my vote. in all seriousness, do you know if they have a hobby or an interest? i love photography and my partner paid for me to go on a 2 day course when i was away. we ended up combining it with a weeks leave spent in london doing shows etc.

save your money and just let them know how much you are missing them and how you cant wait to see them.that above all else mattered the most to me.

My boyfriend got back last week, here are a few of the many things sent to him....

    - HM Armed Forces Toy, he is a RAF Gunner so I got him the RaF Gunner doll! Really cool! And the RAF Regiment Lego figures. They do a lot of army/navy/RAF toys google them, amazon also sell them.
    - postal bear https://www.postalbear.co.uk lots of different cap badges to go with the bear and rank slide, again really cool!
    - cheeky pick of me wearing a thong, then put the thong and the picture in a little black box and sent it! (Obv clean thong!) would only suggest this if you 100% trust that he will not show the pic to his mates thou ;-)
    - car box, top gear mag, skyline pillow case (used to own one) hot wheels toys, and a red letter day message that he has a track day waiting for him on his return, just hake sure the expiry date is after he returns and you keep the real ticket so it does not get lost! (Birthday pressi)
    - retro sweets (but they can get a lot of food and treats from American PX remember so not too many!)
    - box of 48 cream eggs, found on amazon (amazon are good with BfPO addresses and you may get your VAT back depending on which company you send from)
    - cant remember what they are called but one of them Velcro pads and ball to play catch with and a snorkel beach sort of stuff (mainly to make him smile than to use)

I also collected a lot of Xmas pamper bits and bobs in the January sale as I knew he would be away in April, forgot he had no hair for the hair gel though opps! Sent it anyway!

Send an IPod straight from Amazon, unless you are planning on putting your own music on :-S when I was away myself I lost my iPod, so ordered on to be sent to me. Got the VAT free as amazon offer this to oversea forces, and I hear they are good for items lost in transit.

We all ordered loads from amazon, really good to the military bless em!

I guess recorded will insure your iPod in transit, you will have to loot on the post office website.

What music does he like? Comedians etc?

For my bf this year I got him Derren Brown tickets, and have put the tickets in a card from moonpig with derren browns face on the front and the date of the event inside. Maybe you could do the same and book tickets to something he will like when he is back, and send him a moonpig card without the tickets to stop them getting lost with a message inside? Something to look forward to is always nice.

Hmm can you tell I quite enjoyed sending the bf boxes during his tour haha!
  • Truthfully anything, Ive lost count at the amount of packs that I sent out to my OH when he was in Afghan, I used to stick in the most random stuff tho, Wouldnt send any electricals tho as they can buy them out there off the PX for cheaper than what you get them for.

Best pressie he said he got off me was a fleece blanket, sprayed in my perfume and sealed in a plastic transit bag, 3 years on and its still not been washed lol.
