Yes GT568! Ha, he'd love them.

Not sure if its up your street but my girlfriend sent me something that lifted up my Morale massively, its nothing spectacular but very thoughtful and made me smile alot.

Order a empty photo album or something from ebay and create your own little photo album with pictures and messages and even a favourite song with good lyrics that says alot of about you both.

My girlfriend put a printout of song lyrics in front cover, then next few pages were my best pals back home and some of my best times out and holiday, and then there was our first holiday together, some of us out, some funny, some sweet letters and that then some family.

Its a very thoughtful thing to do and i think this is much better than anything else. If not maybe an iPod?

Great idea i love it :) I know he's taken an mp3 player out with him but it wasn't working 100%. So that could be a xmas gift. I thought about an iPod but was a bit wary paying that much just incase it's to get damaged on the way out?? Thank you

Its a real sweet gesture the photo album, my mates all think they're the funniest and love to give me banter but every single one of them liked the photo-album and had a good look. (My partner was worried it was a little cheesy and silly and it'd embarrass me) but just be yourself, add little bits of whatever, anything that sums your relationship up etc. I honestly loved it, it was the best thing anybody sent out to me and i looked over it whenever i was home sick or bored!

If your worried about items getting damaged save them till he's back, or back on RnR. But i assure you, the photo album is a great gift. Don't tell him either!

    Good luck.

  • Hi, When my husband was in Iraq, I bought him a talking photo frame. Got the kids and I to talk and leave a message on the little recorder in the frame. Had long lasting batteries and lasted the whole time he was out there, and still works today (10 years later, needed new batteries recently).

Great because when ever he wanted to hear a voice, he played it. I know what it's like as I served for 17 yrs and hubby 23 yrs, so if you can still get one, I'm sure he would love that in his birthday box. I think, I bought it from Littlewoods, not sure where you would find one now. I know moonpig do apps on cards but don't know if it would work out there. Hope that helps.:)

I sent photo albums out to my husband when he was in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would take pictures of the kids and just funny everyday things. He loved them.
Get family and friends to take funny pictures and maybe add funny jokes or poems, the guys and girls appreciate things that lets them know they are not forgotton.
  • Thank you all for your suggestions, means a lot :)
