Is Freedon2surf and good?

Options
I'm thinking of migrating from Wanadoo to a different ISP and wondered if Freedom2surf are any good. I'm looking for fixed IP address, under £30 for 2Mb plus high bandwidth allowance (50Gb with F2S) as I want to run a wireless camera 24/7. F2S seem to fit the bill but am wary of changing.

Any user comments would be most appreciated.

We've used them at home for 18 months now and have recently switched to the plan you mentioned, with the 50Gb cap. We do manage to stay under it every month, but only just! It's good though, because between I think midnight (might be 1am) and 6am they don't count what you are downloading towards the cap. It's not long, but it does help.

Like I said, we've been with them for 18 months and in that time, I think we've only had one instance of loss of service and that was corrected the same day (it was not their fault anyway I think).

We've even been able to convince some of our friends to go over to them - not bad considering their referral fee of £10!

I migrated to F2S 2Mb 50GB connect service about 3 weeks ago. All I can say is excellent. I get great speeds, 100% relaible so far and good customer support. One tip if you do go with them use 01727 811530 for customer service/support as it's cheaper than their published 0870 number.

Been using them for 10 months. Absolutely no problems. Very fast and very reliable. We have 2Mbit with 2Gbit cap for £14.99. Don't use it for gaming or music, but always kept within the cap.

You could always try e7even - they are very reasonably priced and provide uncapped download, static ip address and even .uk domain name registration and hosting. Their free email customer support is great too!
They often have great deals that are worth waiting for - though nothing really impressive at the moment.

Check out the referral thread for more info.

  • Been using them for 18 months and never had a problem with them. Im using the 2mb d/load 10gb limit. Went over it slightly last month and weren't charged the extra fee, which is think is £1.50 per gb.

    Highly reccomend them!
