Need Help with Sky - Adding Sports

Hey, I have been with Sky for 3 years. I decided I wanted to get sports channels added to a basic package, so I rang up on the 8th Sept.

The guy told me I wouldn't be charged for the sky sports package until the 13th Oct. He said it was so close to my money going out, I would pay 2 months of Sky Sports on the 13th Oct.

Instead, the money has been taken out of my bank yesterday, and I only had enough money left in my bank to pay for my basic package, so my bank has charged me.

I only found this out by reading these forums and trying to get a offer on my package because I thought they might give me a discount on my sports package that I just got.

I told this to the woman on the phone and she wasn't bothered, she said that they would be trying to get the money again.

I was wondering if there was any advice someone could give me.

I made extra sure they wouldn't take the money until Oct because I didn't have the extra money in my account. :mad: :mad: :mad:

Only that it's unwise to subscribe to Sky if you can't afford it.

Thanks for the tip, but did I say I couldn't afford it? There is a difference with not having extra money in my account on the day when I wasn't expecting to pay as much and not being able to afford it.

FYI, the advice was about my situation about being charged when they said they wouldn't until next month, and not my financial situation. :wave:

If you're so close to being charged for going into the red that you have to ensure the money leaves on a set date each month, then you can't afford this upgrade.
Trust me on this.
