the phone itself still works fine, touch screen is perfect working order.

Chuck it and buy a G300 with gorilla glass & 1 ghz for £67 if this offer is still on

+£5 to unlock it unless your on vodafone

Seems to be my stock answer but if you figure it will cost you £20 for a new screen and at least half a day (and anxiety to go with) to repair it - if you're lucky it will work - maybe - then at best you'll end up with an old phone thats very slow and new screen

I came to the same conclusion
When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?
  • I cracked my HTC desire awhile back and sent it to this company.

    HTC Desire C screen repair

And they were extremely quick! I paid £55.00 at the time and now it's £45.00! Just my luck. Looking at the Desire C it's £45.00 too. I'd completely recommend them.

gorilla glass means nothing.. my HTC sensation has gorilla glass.. dropped it from about 2 foot off the floor on to carpet and it shattered.. and also broke the LCD panel..

20 quid and an hour and it'll be done

Gorilla glass is toughened to prevent scratching, not cracking. If anything, gorilla glass will probably crack easier as it is harder/more brittle than normal touch screen glass.

Only anecdotal but i dropped my wife's G300 from approx 3 feet onto a marble hearth and not even a mark (it didn't even have a case at the time but does now!). I think the actual design of the frame around the Gorilla Glass is key here. Imo.

PS I'm assuming this video is fake then? :D
