I don't understand - what is the difference between a photo and a scan - both are JPEGs ?? And a scan is usually clearer ??:o0

The previous UK contact Ann is no longer working for them and they do not want shoppers who work for any other Ms company due to potential breaches of confidentiality
My advice.... steer clear0 -

Perhaps the proof-reader thought that this was a drink???
Or packet of crisps0 -

Slow but reliable payers. The UK contact was lovely but sadly all work has now gone to Canada where there seem to be some communication issues between the various people working on the account. That said, the jobs pay pretty well for what is literally a three minute report and you get a couple of half decent pizzas for free.0 -

Weekend camping trip done last weekend.
Report completed on Monday morning.
Report proof read and one point corrected on Monday afternoon.
Report feedback sent Tuesday morning and job signed off.
Payment advise sent Thursday Morning.
I have no doubt that payment will be in my account tomorrow.0 -

Its a lot harder to "Doctor" a Camera photo than a nice even flat scan, also the camera embeds the time/date taken in the EXIF data of the image which they can read, gives them a doublecheck that nothing iffy is goin on with receipt reuse,.
Although that still does not stop muppet Proofreader responses,
I had them knock back a receipt as it was timed as 11.03am, and I had completed the job at Noon. I put a nice clear note on saying the time on the recipt was out by 1 hour and this could be checked as the location did not even open till noon.
Response - I am sorry we will not be able to pay you for this assignment if you completed it before the site was open  Do they even attempt toread the notes!!!!!Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -

When I do a job a photograph the receipt several hours later so not sure how the EXIF time stamp helps in any way at all. Besides you can strip the EXIF data directly from your phone if you so desire0 -

True, but a lot of people dont know how to do that and if a photo is uploaded with an EXIF showing the image was taken several weeks/months before the job date then it raises a red flag (With a scanner there is no exif, and its a darn sight easier to twaddle around with the dates prices etc on an image that has been scanned nice and flat rather than taken on a table with a phone camera)
Not saying its the reason, just that it gives them some extra checks that can be done if iffy receipts are suspected, all this along with the hand written job numbers on receipts points to the fact they must be picking up on something iffy happening with receipts.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
Have only done 2 MF shops in the past 2 months, so not yet encountered this problem. Would like to see their response using the EXIF data off my camera, I never reset the date, I believe it's still showing 2009 :rotfl:
I agree, it's quite easy to doctor scanned receipts....I wonder what they have uncovered. Thing is, I wouldn't mind if they paid well :cool:0 -

Totally agree. Sadly, have only done a couple of jobs for them but I do recall very prompt payment0
