Probably my failing. At uni, I used to read everything I could lay my hands on.

I shouldn't have been there in hindsight, but essentially getting paid to spend my time somewhere with a massive library and a cheap bar was my idea of heaven.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Looking at some jobs on Gyp- cannot believe how badly written the briefs are. I'd take the work, but I can't make sense of what is actually required. It seems that the same scenario has been written out 3 times, no use of paragraphs and I cannot work out what the reimbursement is for, as it doesn't actually state what you have to purchase. C'mon- basic English people! OK- rant over.

Ironically I'm considering starting my own business under one of their suggested potential covers so the job probably would have been ideal for me. The brief was so confusing that I decided the fee didn't even cover the time it would take to work it out!

Like all companies you need to get past the introduction and get trusted to be offered batter paid jobs, personally they are my only source of work now they supply that many quality/well paying jobs.

This is definitely the case with many experienced mystery shoppers. When I used to be involved in a programme with one of the MS companies frequently mentioned here we actually didn't have our jobs put on the system. We paid more and they were given to trusted shoppers only.

For some companies they want the job doing well, but paying more doesn't necessarily get better results. We could pay more so the shopper got a bigger fee, but some of the reports that came in were really poor quality.

Yes really. There is a lot sitting behind MF that people don't realise. Still don't like the company though

I cannot believe how little some people value their time. I had 15 visits for the MFers bed shops showing yesterday. Now there are 6!

BUN I thought exactly the same. Am I really being so short sighted and naive to the fact that we as society are in such a bad state? Or are others being naive to what fee they are actually working for?

I've got no problem with the GFK email assignments. I don't know which ones you're looking at, but mine took minutes and you don't need to read all of that bumpf, learn to skim read and pick out what's needed! It's a skill that's worth having in many walks of life- namely how you get through uni, reading lists look horrendous, but they're not if you know what you need to read!

Skim reading is a difficult skill to learn/ teach if you never used it for the first 20 odd years of your reading life! I will agree if you don't do it with certain briefs, it could cost you literally days of work over a years work!!
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

    Hi,
I don't post much on here so apologies for popping up just to ask a question. Got my first visit with Bare- registered with them three years ago but gave up applying for their jobs after too many knock backs. Anyway, as it's so long since I signed up I'm unsure if I registered bank details. If I haven't do they pay via Paypal?
I negotiated a hefty sum for the visit so don't want to draw to their attention that I haven't actually worked for them before :)
    Thanks

log on to their system, you can put your bank details in yourself (IBAN etc) and or your paypal details
no need to contact them about it.

I remember a few years ago "criticising" MF and their fees and the value some people did or didn't place on their time, and go so much stick for it on here that I shouldn't criticise people who choose to work for pennies etc, interesting/glad to see more and more people are seeing the light, yet still staggering to see some people are still taking them...

Thanks for your reply but under the shopper profile it only lists contact details and postcodes for areas that you'd shop.
