My 'SuperFast' Virgin Broadband is shocking!

Hi,
I have recently had virgin installed at my new house. Almost daily this cuts out for hours on end, and is totally unusable.
My partner has had numerous lengthy chats with them where they have fiddled with things there end, and it always works for a few hours, but then inevitably fails again.
We've had it twice in our last 2 homes and it has worked fine.
Any ideas?

    How long is "recently"?....Firstly if it is cable,then they should send out a service tech to check that it's installed correctly.
    It could be caused by many things;
    Faulty splitter/Isolator.
    low/high signal levels
    incorrect use of attenuators/equalizers
    Bad F Connections
    Wrong size drop cable used
    Faulty modem/power supply

    Fiddling at their end wont fix it,you need a service tech.Do you have cable TV & does that work OK if you do?
