How big is the trike?

You can get small box trailers that will store on end and be towed by the 5008 easily from Halfords (often with sales online) or 2nd hand. There are probably also plenty of older trailers for sale around you that'd do, I imagine anything bigger than 5ft long should be able to carry a few bikes + trike when secured properly.

The trike is the legnth of an adult bike but obviously wider.

I wouldn't tow it, no idea if my license covers me or not, but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it. Husband however is able to tow them and has doen so before, so he can do it.

The issue we have is that we also have his wheelchair in the boot and a bike trailer and his tow hitch for his trike - he can be up for a trike one moment and floored the next so we plan for both.

Pretty sure the car is too tall for a roof rack to be any use.

I think we will have a look at box trailers, thanks.

you can get a bike rack for high roofs that when fitted arms swing over and lower down the side of the car to allow you to attach the bikes but dont think they are cheap
