Carpet up the stairs, landing and in all bedrooms (have 3 boisterous children) and exposed flooring downstairs (well if you're me bought in bamboo - but I'm the idiot buying a relatively new house).Grab life by the balls before it grabs you by the neck.0

hmmm I'll think again about whether to recarpet or sand in my bedroom then.
cheaper to sand as carpet would need replacing, good condition but previous owners cut it around wardrobes that i've taken out
