It also says on the link you posted:
Obtaining the freeware version
The freeware version can be downloaded here. The download is a trial version of GFI MailEssentials (3Mb), however the disclaimer feature remains active after the 60-day evaluation period. Quick install instructions can be obtained by clicking here.
And i can assure you that was the case when we downloaded and installed it in December (2006). Maybe they had a separate version available until 2003? I know when we got it it was a full version for 30 days then reverted to the free functionality.#

elDeeJay - for your information I have discovered that with version 12, once the evaluation period has expired, none of the GFI software works any more, and this includes the disclaimer that used to continue to work. See link.0 -
Other than the fact that from 1st January 2007 it is a requirement for companies to include their registered office, company number, address and telephone number on their websites and on emails (see Companies to update websites and email footers before 2007), I would say that anything additional is largely a waste of electrons and probably has no legal validity, in that the instructions often attempt to bind an unknown party to a contract where no consent has been, or can be, given!
Worth a chuckle is this now-ancient (and lengthy) web page Stupid Email Disclaimers.
And a few more: E-mail disclaimers explained and a FAQ on the topic.
Lots more rubbish found by Googling!

A final update on my quest:
I went with Exclaimer in the end. The email signature/disclaimer is really clever in its operation, professional in its appearance and easy to set up. And the software comes with optional spam filtering which is very effective, it has quarantined more than 600 spams in 4 days which would otherwise have gone to users' mailboxes.
The costs are very reasonable too so overall I am very pleased and would recommend Exclaimer to anyone in a similar position.0
