Sky HD+ Box Keeps Changing Channels By itself

Could be the start of a PSU failure in the box....do you have any failed recordings/missed recordings/playback problems?
I once had a fault hen I was at NTL,woman had called in as her cable box was doing the same...Try as I might I couldn't replicate the fault & on asking her,she said it only happened when her hubby was at home...
Turned out he'd stashed a second remote down the side of his chair & was changing the channels himself & not letting on!
I didn't have the heart to give her a £50 charge...0 -
Is nothing happening at all when the channel changes? eg My old stereo tuner remote changes the channel on the TV itself when I use the volume up/down buttons sometimes - suppose its possible that another remote could alter Sky channels?0

How is the Sky box connected to the TV, scart or HDMI? (I'm wondering whether it's not actually changing the Sky channel but is changing from the TV's Sky input back to the TV's own tuner - which would suggest an unseated scart plug).Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Thanks for all your replies.
The Sky box is connected by HDMI so will double check all is ok with connections.
When it changes channels its another Sky channel it changes to and its usually Living or 998. Volume or any other settings don't alter.
It happens during the day and night so maybe not bulb interference.
We have a digital cordless phone sat in the opposite corner of the living room so dont know if that could interfere.
We have a Sonos music system in the next room picking up wifi from the upstairs router and a netgear wifi extender in the kitchen. Again dont know if they could interfere. Might switch them both off of 24 hours and see if it stops.
Thanks again0
