Item not sent after 5 months

Just wondered what recourse I have on an item that has not been sent / received and is out of time for claiming on both Ebay/Paypal -

the seller is still registered on Ebay although not selling anything at the moment - I have the email address of the seller, but thats all

- I will contact Ebay for they're details ,but if they choose not to answer what can I do ? ( item was £80 )
As Martin says - please be nice - there is no such thing as a stupid question ! ;)

  • why the heck have you waited 5 months?
The loopy one has gone :j
  • i agree why did you wait 5 mths. did you contact them in this time and is the item showing as dispatched.
  • They are gig tickets and are only now being sent out for the gig in November - I have contacted the seller a few times during summer ,just to keep in the loop , but recent email has gone unaswered

Ah oh dear, that makes sense.

I think your only recourse is small claims as you are out of time for eBay and Paypal? I may well be wrong though
  • You should still raise this with ebay. If you explain that you were waiting for the tickets they may make an exception? Although some venues do not allow tickets to be sold on via ebay which won't help your situtation. Even if you can't get your money back they will ban this seller from the site which I admit may not help you but will help others in the future.
Sorry not much help - good luck!
  • I'm guessing that you're not the only buyer in the same position. Are there any worrying feedback comments being left for the seller, by other buyers?

eBay have extended buyer protection on tickets but only so far as the gig is actually missed by the tickets not arriving (you can only claim money back after the date of the concert).

Persevere with trying to get hold of the seller - they might not have received them yet.

  • Thanks for that info - I didnt realize Ebay had updated this - just got the sellers contact info from Ebay , but the phone number given is a prerecorded voice saying " you have successfully reached the ported in test announcement for the Sky network" !? - googled the number as well but no matches

    - not looking to good at the moment !

Report them for false contact details. That might get their attention.
