is there a general rule of thumb to work out if an expiration date is acceptable ? Like many others on this thread, I'm buying for Xmas, so it would be good to know if kicking up a fuss was reasonable ?
Chocolate isn't one you need to worry about unless the centres are perishable (eg they are advertised as containing, say, fresh cream). Christmas chocs which expire before this Christmas could well be old stock from last year and still be fine to eat.0 -
Thanks for this
5 boxes order
5 stocking fillers done
Cheers

Tesco has an offer:
Thorntons Classic Collection (521g)
£6.00 Valid until: 25/09/2012
(£2.50/£1.15/100g)
The truffles look interesting though. [Why are the flavours not listed?? Love to know if good ones are in]
