    thank you so much Jemb - am emptying message box now, thought I had left some room for you, am bad about deleting stuff! BTW what made you have a cocker when you had the little cavaliers at home? Did you want a more lively dog or just different?

    I agree about the markings darkening but the pigmentation must be there in the first place, I am not sure about some of the photos of the cavaliers I have seen but obviously a quieston for the breede
