Thanks, that post will certainly help anyone landing on this page after googling CUSC who is in a similar situation.
I can guarantee that CUSC will carry on dealing with Pick Pocket claims in the same way so your post should help other customers and also customers of other phone insurers as this is a common reason for declining claims.
Well done for having the persistence to see it out to the Ombudsman which can be a long process.
