Broadband For A Student

Hi my niece is going to start her second term at uni on monday she shares the house with some other girls and they need broadband whats the best way to go about this please.
Can't sleep, quit counting sheep and talk directly to the shepherd :cool:

    Does the property already have a working BT-based landline? If not the only options are VM cable service, or wireless internet with a dongle (but the latter will not really be suitable for sharing).
    Do an exchange search on www.samknows.com for the possible LLU options.
    NB: they've left it a bit late if occupying the property on Monday-a new line provision will be around 3 weeks minimum.
    Beware that most line rental contracts are 12m minimum.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
