    Context! What do you mean?

EDIT: Ah, I see. You've recently been renewing your insurance. Whilst one person's experience might be a guide, there are too many variables for it to be useful; the only way of knowing is to get a quote.

For example, the test quote I ran was for the OP's dog, but it's quite possible that the quote might double when the OP puts in their details. When I did a KC test quote for the OP's dog, I ended up with £133/month!!! If I changed the postcode, that dropped to £110/month.
  • oops sorry, should have posted that the quote was £600 more than my Argos renewal.
  • Have only (touch wood) ever had to claim with PetPlan & cannot recommend them highly enough.

Ongoing condition for over 8 years and always paid out without issue & quickly - yes, they might be slightly more expensive initially but I found the premiums only rose a couple £ each year, despite all the claims.
    Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
    2016 Sell: £125/£250
    £1,000 Emergency Fund Challenge #78 £3.96 / £1,000
    Vet Fund: £410.93 / £1,000
Debt free & determined to stay that way!

Used go compare there and my cheapest quote is £60.84 with animal friends. That's quite steep, thought there would be others there.

Not sure whats normal though as Kia was down as a GSD cross and that's cheaper.

I am looking for car insurance at the moment (different I know) but I run quotes on all three comparison sites I use, go compare, compare the market & confused.com . They all search the same providers but confused.com always comes back with much cheaper quotes than the other 3 (it might be £200 annual on confused.com but £250 on the other two with the same provider) so it might be worth running quotes on the other two sites if you have not already, also direct quotes can often come back cheaper.
A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.
  • T think I'm going with Pet Plan. It's 18.00 per month for the classic life plan, with the first month free.
  • I was with Pet Plan, they are very good but at the end of my dogs life I was paying over £100 a month, with a huge excess on every illness of approx £120 and I had to pay 20% of every claim. They were good but very very expensive.

I know! Based on GSD, male, 2.5m old, living in Bromley, male 40yr owner, £10k cover & £75 excess. I ticked the Death option as most other policies seem to include that.

Just reran it in case their systems were screwed. £133 per month. But the 1st two months are 1/2 price, so that's good :D .
