    Definition of lurker.....

In Internet culture, a lurker is a person who reads discussions on a message board, newsgroup, chatroom, file sharing, social networking site, listening to people in VOIP calls such as Skype and Ventrilo or other interactive system, but rarely or never participates actively.

I wouldn't say a regular MSE'r, keeping an eye on a thread they are interested in and post on, fits that definition.

I was asking the question, I never said anyone was lurking.
Your die hard money saving fan mentioned it!

    What a strange post.

At no point did I say I had written that myself.

When I am on MSE I have many 'active' pages open, I am alerted when a new post is on any one of them & if needed I will reply. It does seem posts like this bring out the lurkers though, I have helped many people on MSE over the years so is it really that bad to ask for a little help in return once in a while?

When I replied, not one person was showing as 'thanked' the post. Lurkers, i.e. people not registered but looking for codes handed to them can't 'thank' & often - as others will agree - this is what happens.

It is best to PM codes - mainly so you know who they are going to & (hopefully) will then get thanked for it, and when I have any spares this is what I will do. I gave away many of the 'Kermit' codes once I had what I needed.
2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please
  • I can't say I'm as excited about the straws as the kermy but my godson will love them. Up to 7 codes at the moment as I keep raiding the recycling bin in work. :T

will post any spares once I have got all 3 sets.

someone did post on cravendale's facebook site the other day asking if the next collectable could be a "cat with thumbs" - now that I'm sure would appeal to lots of people:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
