GiffGaff experiences?

I signed up to GiffGaff a few weeks ago and it seems to be a really good option. For £10 a month I am getting 250 mins and unlimited text and data, they use o2's network and signal is pretty good where I live (Brighton).
I also like the way all of their customer service is done online as dealing with Orange and O2 callcentres in the past was usually a painful experience.
Has anyone else had good/ bad experiences on GiffGaff?

Be warned, unlimited data for £10 goodybags is currently planned to be axed, in preference for a price hike or capping.

I was a customer of giffgaff until August. I left because I could foresee problems with giffgaff wanting to offer unlimited mobile Internet in the future. I was also getting sick of the consistent outages for hours at a time every couple of months or so.
Nice idea of a no-frills to cut the cost of mobile telephony to consumers, but it's not worked. I am now with 3 and although it's a bit more expensive, it is a better service.0 -
Worst company ever left them 3 months ago was without service for 2 weeks the agents take min 24 hours to reply, their customer service is non existant stay well clear!!!!!!!!!!
Now on virgin mobile 30 day contract £12 a month includes 1200 mins unlimited texts 1GB data and unlimited calls to virgin mobiles never looked back0 -

Forum/customer service help has been good -though you have to filter out the rubbish
Had an account query which was answered by an agent (at GG) well within the 24hour target, and explained extremely well on the forum - so a happy newbie so far

I've found them to be fine, only had a couple of problems in one and a half years of use, and one of them was the O2 outage.
Not pleased on the hike in price for unlimited data, though. That's all I really care about, and they'll no longer be the cheapest. Plus the others that'll end up cheaper (Three and Virgin) actually have phone customer support (debatable in Three's case

well they are fine if you have an android or i phone, but if like me you have a basic(nokia) phone BEWARE you will not be able to browse the internet
using opera mini like you did on virgin it just dont work properly, not sure why but i had to leave T-Mobile cause their coverage is not good in some areas.GG does however piggyback 02 so generally you will get a better signal and their £5/month hokey cokey goodybag is a bargain if you dont need the internet! hope that helps someonenever put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0 -
Regardless of the price hike of 30% I will stay with GG for the time being. This is because the £10 top up every 3 months allows my wife, daughter and me to call / text each other for free.0

Sorry for digging up an old thread. I've been with Giffgaff since May. Absolutely no problems. Not sure if anyone else mentioned it but you can earn enough credit from answering forum threads to get your money back each month. The new data limit will be more than enough for most people0

I have been with them for a few months now and I find them great. I have had no problems. I top up £10 and during the three months with free giffgaff to giffgaff calls I spend my credit on two Hokeycokey goodie bags which means for £10 I get unlimited calls to my DH and DD, more texts than I can use (not a great texter) and 120 minutes of calls. I love it when you get extra minutes when someone phones you. I chat quite happily now with people who want to sort out my PPI for me or do the odd survey. It might not suit everyone but I used to be on O2 and paid £10 a month, I get what I need from Giffgaff for £10 a quarter. Very moneysaving.Sell £1500
