please dont start a row about speed limits and what is safe. it nearly caused ww3 on here earlier in the year. ta

I was starting a row I was just 'chatting', as I'm sure you could tell from the tone of my comment. :)
Sorry, I don't remember every previous post on here.

Thanks for posting - does anyone know why the fruit & barley tropical has compared at 55p, and not 53p???

    It's just rounding off.

The total of 5x53ps and 55p comes to £3.20 which I'm guessing is a multiple of the lowest priced item in the comparison store

Just like steradent/sensodyne compares at 66/67p for some items, coming to a comparison total of £2 for every 3 you buy

I tihnk it's purely random what gets the lower and what gets the higher figure and varies depending on what's in your basket

"So Mum" said my 11 year old lad as he sees me bringing in 4 more coke packs "is this coke just on offer or is it a proper glitch?" :rotfl::rotfl:(Hes obviously picking up the jargon!)

Then I ask him to work out how much per can, he was amazed and asked if he can have a few friends round after school and share some cans out.

Now if I had bought them even at £5 for 16 cans, I could not have afforded it, but at 6p a can he can invite his whole bloomin class if he wants!

Then my eldest lad (14) says "that reminds me, Im down to my last box of shreddies, can you look out for a glitch on them please?"

Bless 'em, they realise i dont buy stuff like that any more unless they are on offer.

OH said to me the other day, "it will be nice when we can get back to 'proper' shopping where we dont have lots of lists and dont have to separate items into different shops, or have to buy bl%dy mushy peas everytime. A shop where we write a list of what we want, and just put it in the trolley never minding how much it is in another shop"

...Oh dear, I think I will have to let him down gently!:rotfl:
My DH refuses pointblank to bring another tin of mushy peas into the house. We gave them to my brother and he'll eat anything but even he said they were horrible:eek:

  • Anyone hear about an incident with a flight to Cuba?

We boarded great on the 28th, straight through. Then we sat on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting for a hydraulic problem to be fixed, then we got turned round half way across the Atlantic and ended up back at Gatwick for the night!! We were told by someone on the flight back that we had been dumping hydraulic fluid all over London and our engines were smoking when we landed, we had fire engines in attendance and everying!!

THEN when we checked in the next morning to try again the fire alarms went off in Gatwick, there was a small fire behind McDonalds!!!

We did finally get to Cuba and had a brilliant time though.

What did I say about our holidays creating hazard zones :rotfl::rotfl:
    Welcome back :)
Do you get any compensation?:D
