As stocks of the rice pud are running low,am I right in thinking that the trigger could also be the choc custard, making everything 32p?

It's not a valid candidate from MSM; the only other one that looks worth testing is Ambrosia Rice Light (115g); everything else in the Ambrosia range either won't work (in theory) or would be expected to compare more expensive than the oats.

I presented my apg to SA this morning - she said thats a big one (£8.50.) I smiled to myself thinking she hasn't seen the size of some of yours:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I got the same response to a £6 APG today :rotfl:

  • For anyone who has an abundance of porridge oats you can make cookies. I always buy porridge for my cookies (never actually have it for breakfast) :)

OAT & RAISIN COOKIES (or OAT & CHOC CHIP COOKIES)

Ingredients (makes about 40) or halve the ingredients for less......
    • 250g butter, softened
    • 200g light brown soft sugar
    • 75g caster sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
    • 150g plain flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 260g porridge oats
    • 150g raisins (or 150g chocolate chips) or split mixture and add 75g raisins or choc chips to each half
    Preparation:

    Prep: 15 mins |Cook: 15 mins | Extra time: 18 mins| Makes 40 cookies

    1.
Preheat the oven to 170 C / Gas mark 3.
    2.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and caster sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine the flour, bicarb and salt; stir into the creamed mixture until just blended. Mix in the oats and raisins (or chocolate chips) or split the mixture and add them to each one. Drop by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased baking trays. Be careful not to put them too close as they do spread.
    3.
Bake for 12-15 minutes in the preheated oven until just turning golden. Allow cookies to cool on baking tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

You've got 13 3for2 items in there and you need multiples of 3. You don't need the oats if you have the 120g ambrosia, that would give you 12 items that should each compare at 24p

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :)

I thought I didn't need the rice bit bought it anyway...
So won't I get anything back on this one?

this is only my second shop...
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)
