  • Anyone hear about an incident with a flight to Cuba?

We boarded great on the 28th, straight through. Then we sat on the tarmac for 2 hours waiting for a hydraulic problem to be fixed, then we got turned round half way across the Atlantic and ended up back at Gatwick for the night!! We were told by someone on the flight back that we had been dumping hydraulic fluid all over London and our engines were smoking when we landed, we had fire engines in attendance and everying!!

THEN when we checked in the next morning to try again the fire alarms went off in Gatwick, there was a small fire behind McDonalds!!!

We did finally get to Cuba and had a brilliant time though.

What did I say about our holidays creating hazard zones :rotfl::rotfl:

Please tell us when and where you're next going on holibobs so we all have prior notice and don't book after you :rotfl::rotfl:
Seriously though I hope you had a good time.

Haven't decided yet - could be anywhere in the world. Ideally no-one should book a holiday for a few months (then the bottom will drop out of the holiday market and we get one dead cheap :))

We did have a wonderful time in spite of everything - great place to go! Of course, while we were there we saw on TV the potential President of the US saying he will "free" the Cubans if he gets in. Personally I doubt if they want freeing, but I really hope we didn't damage the country too much .............

I don't think it's a race issue forgetful, I get touted all the time but I think it's because they are jealous. Women are terrible, especially middle aged women. I'm 26 so I expect it. The men are fine, but if they need a Super that's when it gets a bit hairy. It's the look they give you, 'How's she done that?'

I dont know if Im being sensitive here... but I think there could be a case of jealousy and racial issue to being trouted badly!!

    Anyone else think that...race issue??

I have never thought about it being a white male. But, when i next visit ASDA and if i get trouted i will surely ask.

Does the cheese always have to be in 3's, or could I buy 2 (plus the dairylea)?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it has to be a minimum of 1 x DL and 3 x cheddar. As long as you have 1 x DL you can then have 3 or 5 or 7 cheddars (depending on the size of the apg you want back of course!) It has to be an even number including the DL.

I got the following in one shop:
    1 x DL
    2 x PC
    3 x LD

Afternoon everybody . I am new to this thread but did introduce myself half way through the last one. I did say then that I couldnt see myself trying a gliche as my brain can't hold that amount of information (being an older lady :)). Anyway long story short, went shopping in A got outside and said to DH about giving it a go. Went back in and did the coke shop, the other brain cell kicked in and I got 4 cokes, ambrosia full fat custard and 8 odds and ends (SP). Got an apg for £8.04, chuffed with it. SO THANK YOU ONE AND ALL I have read almost all the posts and some of it must have sunk in :T. Just one small question...my Ambrosia full fat Custard 400g compared £0.50 to Sainsbobs £0.94. Should it not have been 50p to 47p? Have a brilliant day everybody...........and thanks again!!!!

I messed a couple of coke shops up like this the other day.

The offer that triggers it is 2 for 1 so you need to buy your glitched product AND the trigger in pairs. You bought 4 cokes and 1 tin of custard so an odd number hence custard was compared at full price. To be perfect you needed 5 cokes and the custard.

Brilliant first shop though, well done! :T
