T Mobile contract

I have a problem and was wondering if anyone had experienced this so could help me. I signed up for a T-mobile contract last week for the Motorola Motosmart deal £5 monthly. Yesterday I received the handset and registered online to view my bills and this is what I got: Last Bill Amount Due £257.00 (outstanding balance : £250.00) so when I contacted them they said it is a deposit for international calls, that you won't be using your phone abroad and that she(kind lady) is going to fix that. Ok then why £7 and not £5 like in the contract? So they made me go to the nearest T mobile (everything everywhere) so they can confirm my postcode which was necessary for the offer to be applied otherwise £7 per month. So I've done that, went to the shop, they called there, confirmed my id etc. So she(kind lady) assured me that the discount of £2 will be applied if not on this bill then on the next bill and that she is going to monitor the account. So I said ok thank you very much. This morning I have checked the online bill and to my shock it still says the same (£257 will be taken on 24.09.2012) Called them again and they assured me that they would take only £7 (not £257) Asked for some kind of confirmation, she couldn't do that. So I am really stressed now and definitely didn't sign up for this. :(

Any advice guys? Thank you.

Don't understand what the international calls £257 stuff is about but if they have confirmed all will be sorted out, it can take a while for the online to update.

Your best is to try to get something in writing by emailing them via Contact Us - put in there you want confirmation - someone will normally try to ring you from t-mobile, don't answer and then they send you an email. Stupid init..
  • Thank you. Basically they said that it will show in the next statement not in this months statement. (in this statement it will say £257 instead of £5) . I don't know to be honest.
I will email them. Thank you.
  • complain via there website
  • Sorted guys. They contacted me and updated to £5 monthly.
