Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a virgin media sim. It cost £10 per month and for that you get 300 x-net anytime mins and 300 texts. I just wondering if anyone knows if the service and coverage is anygood?

Thanks

I got one of the Virginmedia Sims for £10 with a free Lobster 575 phone about 3 months ago and I bought this for my parents . So far the coverage has been perect ,but this is only in the south of england , so i cant tell for the rest of the UK. The service has been excellent so far.

The service is good and the coverage is exactly the same as T-Mobile.

If you want to check coverage heres the link (It is t-Mobile but Virgin and T-Mobile use the same masts so coverage is the same)

    Hi There,

My brother and I are on this tariff from Virgin Mobile.

For only £10 per month you get 300 xnet anytime minutes and 300 text messages. This is the best deal out there for £10 beleive me.

We have had no problems with Virgin Mobile, if anything, I am in the process of ordering a few more sim cards for relatives.

The tariff must be the best on the market for £10 per month. The 300 minutes alone must be worth around £105 if you base it on the fact that an xnet call costs 35p per minute so you are saving an absolute packet.

My advice to you is go for it mate, while the deal is still on.

Hi. Can anyone help me please. I have just got the £10 Virgim mobile deal as we are ntl/Virgin customers. I have just set up my phone and put the numbers in the address book. I have made only one call. I looked at my online account and it says I have paid out £5 and it says transfer between account. I have no idea what this means. Any ideas? Thanks.

I'm guessing it may be £5 in, rather than £5 out:

  • I'm on a similar Virgin deal too. We don't have cable but I took out a sim only contract (no min. term) about 6 months ago when they were first launched.

They were doing a special launch offer at the time for £15 p.m. (late comers are made to pay £20 now). I had a choice of 300mins/300text or 200mins/500text and I chose 200/500.

I have since had my Sony-E K750i unlocked and flashed to W800i for just £11 inc postage from some bloke off E Bay and have now ordered a dual sim card holder and am going to stick a T Mobile sim inside for cheaper calls when my Virgin minutes run out.

I spoke with Virgin Mobile yesterday and they confirmed that this £10 a month deal is open to both VM Cable and Non -Cable Customers( Ex Virgin-Net) despite the fact it appears that only Cable Customers qualify.Just enter your VM account number street number and post code.

    See: http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/bundles/virginmobileoffer.html

If you have a Virgin PAYG sim, ring Virgin Mobile and they will put existing number straight on to this tariff subject to credit check.

Very handy if you make Intl Calls as you can use inclusive minutes to access 07744 gateway numbers.
