The snow day sounds fantastic and that is a brilliant price, was it some kind of special offer? It's cost a small fortune whenever we have done it in the best.

Great suggestion re stick insects natty. Perhaps even nurserys - I'm sure ds2 and his little friends old be most intrigued by them.

  • Yes, if you just pm me your address....

Got the original ones from school, everyone in class offered them cant return as they have loads, but did give some to my BF's sons school, now class room pets, and quite a few of his friends too. As well as family who bought our old house, dd2s friends brother.....

Sno tubing etc was family deal, but not a special price. I priced it at snow dome and it was considerably less at swadlincote ski centre. They also do a family learn to ski for 2 hours and food for £25 each and we all quite fancy that at some point.

Just returned from Madagasgar live at capital arena, as we got in a lady said our seats weren't in a very good place and gave us a free upgrade and ended up with awesome seats. Although wasnt the best thing I have seen and was a little disappointed with the performance.

    dd1 birthday tomoz...

  • so dd1 14 today. went out for tea to local crown carvery then birthday cake for pud. Shes going to cinema on saturday with mates who are then sleeping over.
Have booked hairspray as an extra treat, as advertised on telly the other week and I knew she'd love it.

Not managed gym for a week, but due to birthday and work rather than lack of effort. Will go tomoz whilst kids at music. May take more effort as had to much b'day goodies.

Had a bit of a weird day, couldnt open office door, spent 15 minutes tapping in wrong digicode - new jobs office (literally- was at point of ringing security to come and sort) then got in office and phone stopped working, it would ring but then pick it up and went dead. It rang a lot! Rang estates and they telephone man came out and brought me a new one (did have to pay for but obviously not my money!) couldnt use work mobile as this office is an old broom cupboard and absolutely no signal. So everytime i needed the phone had to use one on reception which doesnt work for confidential calls! I work normally on other site which have the same meetings but different days / times so turned up 2 hours early for 1 meeting but completely missed another, but then found out that I didnt miss it as its twice monthly.
The receptionist was on leave and the lady covering was sick, so was generally aura of v busy plus still new to area (week3) so still havent met all the staff, so still having to smile lots.

There tomoz then back to other job, on wednesday, interviewing in the morning, shortlisting other posts (both areas) in the afternoon as have 2 adverts that close mon and tuesday.

Everything I do seems to uncover nasties that need sorting. but hey ho, makes the day go fast.

  • Unfortunately failed to recruit interviewee but learnt long ago that if have any doubts then dont, my adverts have only netted 6 applicants so put back out as need more than shortlisted.

They have managed to recruit to other manager post today, was prepared to stay and secretly would have liked to as definitely challenging, still 9 weeks to make a difference, then life should return to lovely (rather than squeaky bum).
Have 2 weeks off after Thursday (bar extra shifts) as usually go away in feb (to include half term week) but too broke and DH wants to go to florida next year so this is the compromise. Going to put extra money (from extra hours) into savings rather than MOP as have very small savings pot and also need to build up. We are going away later in year and need to pay the remainder in a few months.

Noticed its FLW, havent done any ebay since Jan (used up all my freebies) so will list everything again on sat/sun, definitely prefer to bitting and bobbing all month as found that at post office every other day, much easier to take a huge bag full and smile nicely. Will add stickies to my listing, as surprising popular....i_love_stick_insects_tees-r3d1f483ce46a4c2290ad3414235428c9_8nhma_512.jpg
